USA NKF Moves National Headquarters
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—USA National Karate-do Federation (USA NKF) has relocated its national office from St. Albans, W.Va., to Colorado Springs, Colo. The decision to move was made during a board meeting in conjunction with the USA NKF National Championships in July.
The move allows the federation to “continue to develop a close working relationship with the United States Olympic Committee and other Olympic and Pan-Am sport national governing bodies,” according to the federation.
USAT Adds Winter Events
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—USA Triathlon (USAT) will offer three winter triathlons in 2008, beginning with the world qualifying triathlons on Jan. 26 in Durango, Colo., and Weston, Mass. The USAT Winter Triathlon National Championships will be held Feb. 9 at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort in Bend, Ore.
Each event will feature running, mountain biking and cross-country skiing on hard-packed, groomed snow trails. The national championships will feature an age-group race to qualify the top five athletes per age group and an elite race to qualify the top three men and top three women to compete in the world championships Feb. 22 in Germany.
